2 months agoWhile the food was decent the service was non existent and there was only 1 other table that was occupied three of us all got lunch specials 2 with an extra enchilada and all of us got sweet tea....ended up paying almost 60 bucks for 3 people after doing the math myself and adding tax it still only comes out to 45 so how the hell did I end up paying almost 60 make sure u double check everything no way was what we got adding up to 57 and some change....will not be returning

3 months agoMamas will be celebrating it’s 50th year on March 1,2026. There are some negatives- Service can be a bit slow The wait on the food can be a bit long It’s a old fashioned type of building not a lots of flash Positives The Food portions are abundant The chips and salsa are of a nice free serving The Queso Appetizer is on point Nice authentic Mexican entrees meaning the food is not overpowered with different spices or fillers

7 months agoThis place is so so incredible. i wish i lived closer to this place. the staff were really awesome and accommodated a large group with no warning happily, the food is so perfect, the prices are lower than anything in my hometown, what an incredible establishment

a year agoI’m from corpus and have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant for years… looks like I’ve found one! Very comparable to what I’m used to back home. The service was great, I loved the cozy look of place and the food was delicious! Their salsa is amazing.

a year agoI love this place and it's right down the road from me and I mean right in my neighborhood. The food was great service 6 stars atmosphere is there.

3 years agoFirst: our server went above and beyond. He brought me a special green salsa to try with the meal. The starter chips were amazing!!! As was the salsa that was served with them. The server brought enough chips for our large party of 6. I was served great tasting coffee from a fresh pot. They served us large sized portions, all dishes were very tasty. This establishment is well known with the locals. Now, the non locals need to make their way here too!

4 years agoDon’t be fooled by the drive through a small neighborhood, this gem is a place for a home cooked Mexican meal. We felt like family here and where treated very hospitable. The place is rustic, very clean, the restrooms could use some updates but clean ! . The outdoor seating is a nice option. When In town we will definitely visit again.
